I really wonder if having a family makes people think you're suddenly better as a person. I don't think that way. My family is amazing. I love them. But I don't ever wanna stop being a mercenary, being a killer. It's what I was manufactured for, it's what I enjoy doing the most out of everything. Doing sorties, assaulting trenches, fixing tanks and synths on a battlefield, sitting in a foxhole waiting to get shot at or mortared. Never feel more alive than when everything's exploding. Wonder if all these tales of dead heroes, infamous gangsters, and ruthless pirates who met their end was just the same reason. They just knew that they were good at what they were doing. The fame, wealth, and everything else was just a byproduct of doing what they really loved. I enjoy quiet days, but I like having a gun in my hands. Anyways, song for my vibe RN. My ink and quill glides across parchment, inking scripture like a possessed entity. I have not blinked in fifteen minutes. I feel not exhaustion, nor discomfort. On the contrary. I feel gripped more than ever by the realization that the sun has bestowed upon me. At this pace, I will soon rewrite the entirety of the original scripture i once followed. It could be considered heresy, and yet, I feel only an easing to my heart. Like each word brings me closer to the truth that I could not see. I am not likely to sleep tonight. Could this be what enlightenment does to someone?
