They see a pillar of our community, somebody that makes everyone feel welcome and valued, someone everyone relied on. They see a father and a husband, someone humble and generous beyond words, who brought laughter and joy to all around him. Both of them, people who dedicated themselves to saving the lives of others purely out of the goodness of their hearts. And they kill them. And they laugh. They dance and make jokes as they slaughter us. Because they don't know Death. We will make them learn. We will find a way to make sure that when they get put down like the monsters they truly are, they will stay down, forever. For the first time in their worthless lives, they will stare Death in the eyes, and they won't be the ones laughing. By the end of this war, their city shall be empty of all but ghosts and blood.

Today I learned a few things, and I am atoning for my mistakes and still moving forward. I can't hope for the past to change when things go bad.

It is today, on this day, that we lost a great man, a father, and husband. I may not have known him for too long, but he was one of the greatest men I've ever met. He gave me a place to stay after my home was destroyed, gave me food and water, and gave me a job so I could earn a living. I may not be able to help people the same way you helped me, but I promise to help in any way I can. Thank you for all that you have done to help me, Markus. I hope you rest well in whatever afterlife you're in.

Nostalgia, as of late, has been both comforting and painful. Every time I find myself in familiar comfort I recall a time that can never happen again. Every gathering of new friends reminds me of the friends that can no longer gather. It hurts. It hurts so fucking much. I can only take comfort in the fact that these memories will be with me, and therefore my friends will be with me, if only in spirit.

The one time I'm healing up from something else and Industrial gets hit again... My condolences go out to any loved ones lost. I will be praying for their souls to find peace... And readying my blades to rip and tear against the ones who caused it.
