The situation has particularly drawn significant attention from those living in the slums of the Waterfront District, as many question if they will have to pay their taxes this year, while others fear that this means that those in power have been assassinated or been captured by the Upper City.

Ain't nobody down here crying over some missing suit, that’s for damn sure. Councilman Nemesis and his shiny right hand vanish after getting their teeth kicked in over the weekend, and what? We’re supposed to hold our breath? The Upper City’s got everyone wringing their hands, wondering if the big man got snatched or put in the dirt. If he’s dead, good riddance. If FoxTec or VestraTech put him in a cage, even better—let 'em eat each other for once. They leave us to rot in the slums every day of the week, so don't expect us to start a search party now that the tables turned. If the councilman's gone, all it means to us is one less boot on our necks for a week or two. We got our own fires to put out.
