Scripture tells us that souls can transmigrate, and be mixed within the sun's corona. Perhaps a portion of your soul once belonged to their wife? I do not know. Perhaps your features just reminded them.

Uhhh, well they were a vampire so their soul was corrupted, and my soul came from my mom, and I'm pretty sure hers was brand new. So no?

I mean, it's not like she was even drawing attention to the fact that she was dead. I think she was trying to give me a compliment? Maybe?
