I am curious, does anyone know where to start to make... Honey mead..? I am looking into it and I am not too sure where to start.
I have the honey, I just need to know how to make the alcohol part... I think?
You want to dilute the honey with water and add brewers yeast in a large bucket you can seal. It's very important that everything you use for the process be disinfected. And it's also important that during the fermenting process you briefly open the bucket from time to time to release the gasses before they build up too much. If you can get one they make specific buckets for this and these things you can put in the top called water locks that let the gasses out but don't let air back in. Then it's mainly a matter of waiting for the fermentation process to finish, filtering out the sediment at the bottom, bottling the mead, and if you want to make it better then age it.
