I met a girl today. We chat and she's a mechanic and likes working on vehicles like me and Cress do. Learn she's from Zaphira. All goes well but then she mentions how things have been shaky since the war. She doesn't outright mention it, trying to act like it isn't the big deal that it is. I know this war will end. The city will survive, somehow. But before then, there will be more and more pain. The suffering will continue, but there will be an end to it. I have to believe it. That one day my new friend and I will only remember this terrible time as a memory, and nothing more. But we all must keep fighting.
