Fun Pokémon Fact of the Day! When a Pokémon is close to evolving and their trainer or companion is in mortal danger, they will evolve early with a burst of great power to stave off said danger quickly. This is not unlike the human phenomenon of "Hysterical Strength," and both phenomena share a lot of overlap.

Pokémon Fact of the Day! In areas of high magic or life energy, a Pokémon capable of Mega Evolution has a chance to do so without the bond of a trainer. This, however, is VERY painful for the Pokémon, and they will as a result be hostile upon approached. Another reason why the Akashic are bad, if you needed more reasons.

Pokémon Fact of the Day! When a Pokémon is close to evolving, they will weigh noticeably more than usual. This is because the energy required for evolution burns a lot of calories, and the Pokémon is likely bulking up so it had said energy to undergo evolution without any detrimental health effects.
